
Rules & Regulations
The New Madrid skatepark, a joint project between the city, Martindale Chevrolet, New Madrid Family Resource Center and area youth, is a great place for kids to practice their skateboarding skills. However, the rules must be followed for everyone's safety. No more skating in the streets even when going to the park.
It is strongly recommended that the following safety equipment be worn at all times to help provide suitable protection.
- Elbow pads
- Knee pads
- Wrist pads
Rules & Regulations:
- Hours of permitted use are from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Children age 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
- No glass containers, food or beverages allowed on the skating surface.
- No other items such as benches, tables, wood materials, or other objects used as ramps or jumps are allowed in the skating area.
- Do not proceed down a ramp until clear of other skaters.
- No bikes allowed in the skating area.
- Drugs, alcohol, and tobacco are prohibited.
